About HTN/RDN

Hypertension (HTN) - Key facts

Hypertension(HTN), or high blood pressure, is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risk of heart, brain, kidney and other diseases, and affects men more than women.

The number of adults with hypertension increased from 594 million in 1975 to 1.13 billion in 2015, with the increase seen largely in low- and middle-income countries.1)

Approximately 1 in 5 adults (21%) with hypertension have it under control.2)

Consider renal denervation with healthcare professionals

About Renal Denervation (RDN)

Heightened renal sympathetic nerve activity is closely related to the
development and maintenance of chronic diseases, such as hypertension,
heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. In 1931, surgical sympathectomy of
renal nerve
verified blood pressure decreasing effect. However, surgical
sympathectomy was associated with significant morbidity.

With the realization of the limitations of blood pressure control with drug treatment alone, the advent of catheter technology rekindled expectations for the inactivation of renal sympathetic nerves through minimally invasive procedure.

Renal denervation is safe, minimally invasive, and does not leave any implants behind.

  • One-size-fit-all design is applicable to
a wide range of arterial size.
  • Electrodes can be individually
    deactivated for selective ablation.
  • Real-time temperature feedback with
    adjusting power delivery ensures safety.
